Taika Waititi is a New Zealand filmmaker, actor, and comedian who won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Jojo Rabbit (2019), which he also directed and starred in as an imaginary Adolf Hitler. He directed Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder for Marvel, and made his name with Hunt for the Wilderpeople and the vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows, which he co-created and expanded into a hit TV series.
