Dashboard Confessional is an American emo/alternative rock band from Boca Raton, Florida, formed in 1999 and led by singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba. Known for confessional acoustic-driven anthems like "Hands Down," "Screaming Infidelities," and "Vindicated," the band helped define the early-2000s emo scene and became famous for arena-sized sing-along crowds. Their album Dusk and Summer peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
